After writing my first reply, this has been bugging me, enough that I will probably start writing entries again. Check back in a week or so, I will probably had added at least one post.
Since having a large intestinal tumor removed, I have gradually been becoming weaker. Since halting writing on this blog, I have been putting my time and energy, such as it is, into studying and playing the game of go. Most of my current friends are people I play go with and I get great pleasure from the game and those friends, much more than reliving those years in Vietnam.
It would be wonderful if you started writing down your stories again. I am happy to help you of you like.
